The Child Witness Centre
MORE THAN TWICE A DAY in our community, a young person finds the courage to tell someone about the abuse they have experienced. Further to this, local police press an average of 11 CHARGES PER WEEK for crimes directly harming a child or youth.
We support victimized children and youth, and their families, through the criminal justice system in Waterloo Region, Guelph, and Wellington County. If we did not exist, no other agency would be there to help them navigate this journey – which is often complex, adversarial, and not set up to meet the needs of young victims and witnesses.
Thank-you to everyone who made it out to our second annual country ride for @childwitnesscentre another successful ride in the books and we are already planning for next year. Huge thanks to our sponsors! With your support we exceeded our first year efforts for #childwitnesscentre @digital_north @soundofmusicfest @gibsonsoundandvision @thebeerstoreon @blockthree @danbyappliances @gnarlybranch @blackbridgeharleydavidson #john-paulbell @dca.financial #danielanstett as well thanks to our sister chapter #thamesvalleywidowsons for your generous contribution. See you next year, until then ride safe! #widowssons#grandriverwidowssons#wsffws
